Undescribed Sauropod Tibia from the Maastrichtian Phosphate Beds in North Africa
Undescribed Sauropod Tibia from the Maastrichtian Phosphate Beds in North Africa
This is an incredibly rare bone from a yet undescribed sauropod dinosaur. This bone was discovered in the maastrichtian phosphate beds in North Africa. There have only been a handful of dinosaur bones ever found in this formation and very few sauropod bones ever found in North Africa at all in any formation. The maastrichtian phosphate beds represent a formation that was at the bottom of the sea during the late cretaceous period and later. These bones have never been studied or described and probably represent a new species of sauropod dinosaur.
This incredible bone is not only rare, but is still in original matrix, containing skull and jaw sections form mosasaurs, shark teeth, and most rare of all a beautiful gastrolith.
The jacket has been thickened up and the piece can be displayed just as it is. The thick jacket also holds much more of the original matrix and trace fossils from the phosphate beds. This is an incredible piece for either the collector or to study.

Undescribed Sauropod Femur Leg Bone from the Maastrichtian Phosphate Beds in North Africa With Huge Bite Marks

This incredible bone is not only rare, but is the only example from north Africa with tooth marks. This bone contains at least 3-4 huge conical tooth marks from some very large predator. It is unknown what could have made these marks but it was giant. The size of these tooth marks suggests a super-predator, which may also not have been discovered yet. The size and shape of the tooth marks could also suggest a predator such as Spinosaurus, which was thought to only have fed on fish and aquatic animals or super-croc. This bone not only has tremendous collector value, but also incredible scientific value and is a one-of-a-kind piece.

Elasmosaur Vertebrae # Elb-1-a13-s
This is a fantastic, large elasmosaur Vertebrae from the Sahara Desert.
Elasmosaurus was about 14 m (46 ft) in length and weighed over 2,000 kg (2.2 tons), making it among the largest plesiosaurs. The premaxilla has more than five teeth. The dentary symphysis extends to a point between the fourth and fifth tooth in the dentary. The atlas-axis complex of its cervical vertebrae are long and low and number over 60. The type specimen (ANSP 10081) has 71 vertebrate in the neck. The anterior cervical vertebrae are also long and low. There is also a longitudinal lateral crest present in the anterior cervical vertebrae. Elasmosaurus has around three pectoral vertebrae which is common among elasmosaurs. The tail is composed of at least 18 vertebrae. The pectoral girdle has a long pectoral bar. This bar is absent in juveniles and present in adults. On the scapula, the coracoidal margin appears to be about as long as the glenoideal one. Thee anterior edge of the pelvic girdle is anterolaterally directed and almost straight. Also, the ischia are connected medially so that along the length of the pelvic girdle. Elasmosaurus has both pair of limbs that are nearly equal in size and are highly modified into a rigid paddle.

Mosasaur Bone Pile
Mosasaur Bone Pile
These mosasaur bones came from a larger pile which was reconstructed. This section of the pile was deemed not of usable quality, as many of the bones are broken and are formed of softer rock than the others. This is a very unique item and is no something you are likely to come across often.
