This is a stunning skeleton from an amazing Pteranodon and I am blowing it out. The last one I had I sold for $225,000. This one is a bargain.
The skeleton is from the Pteranodon longiceps. The skeleton was legally collected on private property in the State of Kansas, United States in full compliance with United States laws and regulations. This fossil was excavated from the Niobrara Formation in Western Kansas, United States. Specifically, the Smoky Hill Chalk beds of Grove County, Kansas.
The specimen is approximately 83 Million Years old. It was professionally prepared and comes mounted so it can be displayed from our floor display, or be suspended from the ceiling. I have had this example listed at over $175,000.
The skeleton has a 14 foot wingspan. The skull, some foot bones and ribs are restored but many of the other bones are real. We are just trying to move this incredible fossil so it is your chance to really cash in.
Our low Fossil Shack asking price is $275,000 has been reduced even lower.
